Greenville, SC – As a part of its dedication to the Upstate community, Marchant Real Estate volunteered with Habitat for Humanity last Friday to aid in building a new home for a family of five. Marchant Real Estate has been dedicating time to Habitat for Humanity for the past five years in an effort to provide housing and stability for families of low income in the Greenville area.
This year, a team of seven Marchant volunteers worked together to set door frames, clean floors, and measure, cut and lay baseboards throughout the home. This particular home is located in Greer, SC and will soon be move-in ready. Families that receive Habitat for Humanity homes take classes to prepare for homeownership, volunteer in the community and work on other Habitat homes, as well as their own. Marchant Real Estate was proud to be involved in such a life-changing event for the future owners of this Greer home.
Opportunities like this with local non-profit organizations allow Marchant Real Estate to connect with the Greenville community in ways beyond the business relationships that are formed with clients. “Our job as a community is to come together and serve one another. This is a great example of what can be accomplished when we work cooperatively together with a common goal in mind,” says Seabrook Marchant, President and Broker in Charge.
Marchant Real Estate would like to thank Habitat for Humanity for allowing the team to become familiar with the inner workings involved in building affordable housing. Marchant Real Estate is grateful to serve and eager to participate in future projects.
